March Post I

I found every important fact of the happening. There was one person who had the authority of police and who rejected the order from the government who was telling him to kill people who are protesting against the government. The reason why he rejected the order was that the police can't kill the citizens who they have to protect. He took all the weapons and things that could harm people in order to prevent the adventitious attack. However, the government made the airborne troop to be involve in the situation. He helped the citizens by helping injured people with cure, buying them new clothings, and buying them food. Even with the order of the government (to kill any citizen who tempts to behave against the government), he order to his followers to not kill the citizens and not to capture people who run away and hide. However, the government disliked how he rejected the order and helped the citizens. Thus, they tortured him by saying that him rebelling against the government and he ended his life by the torture. His name is Byung Ha Ahn, the Superintendent Gerneral who was and still is an honorable person. 
I did not know that there was at least one person to solve the situation in non-violent way. Although there was risk of him being the target of the government, it was interesting to see how he helped citizens. Many of the people with authority in government ignored innocent deaths of people but he stood up to make the situation better and tried to lead the situation to be non-violence protest, no innocent death. I am very thankful for him for being one who stood for the right thing. Rest in Peace.

After listing all the facts about Gwangju Uprising, I was shocked again. I am very thankful that this didn't happen in my life time. I am also very thankful that this how this event has changed the society. If this did not happen, the future in the past, the present where I am existing would have no freedom. It would have been full of limitation that is caused from the communism. Like what I said in the post that I posted in the past, I am shocked that the head of the massacre was only imprisoned for only two years and was released. Still, there are many political scandals happening and I really want to prevent people from repeating the past. I think it is very significant to block the unrightfulness and unjustifying decision that the government is making.

May Post I

On May 25th, I presented my project to my classmates and visitors.  As I reflect on the past process of the signature project, I learned many things that I did not realized in the past. Once again, I realized how important it is to keep the work on time. The given time is not really an enough time to do a project on my interests; I needed more time than the time I had. If I started my project early, I wouldn't have to rush myself to finish it and would have ended up with better project and presentation. From the signature experience, I found and now am sure of what I want to do in the closest future. I enjoyed the project by using art to communicate with people with art. It made me to self-improve by reflecting on myself by writing the blog posts and improve in many ways by talking to teachers and mentors. It is one of unforgettable memory that Emma has gave me. Thank everyone who has been part of my project.
